Where the ZIPs come from

Each day you download your daily Orders Report (text format) — it lists all your orders, personalized or not. For Custom orders the report contains a download URL/link pointing at that order's ZIP file. In short: download your daily Orders Report text → get Custom product orders as ZIP. The included downloader follows those links, so instead of clicking order by order you collect every ZIP in one go.

Inside an Amazon Custom ZIP

• Customization data (JSON) — texts, names, dates, option selections, quantities
• Customer images — photos, logos, uploaded artwork
• Order identity — order ID, SKU, listing context for routing

What automation does with it

1. Ingest — watches the folder, unpacks, normalizes
2. Parse & validate — every field checked against product rules; problems logged
3. Route — SKU → correct PSD/AI template and variant
4. Build — personalization applied, PDF exported, named by order
5. Sort — foldered by date/SKU/order with barcodes and counts

Why this stage matters most

ZIP handling is pure repetition with zero creativity — the first thing to automate and the fastest payback. It also de-risks everything downstream: clean data in, clean artwork out.
